Do you think it is worth to continue on this one? I worked on this picture a long time but i got bored of it. I startet it without planning (no photo as source) just to learn something about coloring. Critics wellcome.

hm why stop at this point?
just work a bit more on light and shadows
and youre done.

oh, and dont forget to paint the feet.
seems that you tried to hide them.

I wonder how you @ll do these techniques looking as if it's painted with a real brush?

Maybe the foreground is a bit too bright; maybe you can add some more contrast

Did you hear of the MOEWIG design/write contest, dealing with the topic Perry Rhodan - first contact with alien races?

I think about stopping this pic because I don't have much time (work :-() and there are many ideas wanting to be painted (sorry for bad English).
-Solitaire- I did this one with painter because I like it to see the brush strokes but it is easier to paint with photoshop i think.

No i did't hear about that contest so please tell me all you know about it.

The painting is very good and you should finish it. My suggestion if you were looking to experiment a little more would be to add some kind of animal to the right of him, like a horse or dragon. Make the animal look in the same direction he is.
