Howdy!
I've been looking over this Forum for a week or so, I gotta say, all your guy's art is fantastic!
I have been doing graphics for a while, and I stumbled upon this site a couple days ago while looking for a picture of Gumby that I could for reference to sketch, for my upcomming personal site.
I've been drawing all my life, since I was a wee little thing, although it was only for fun, now I'm doing it for REAL!!! Just kidding, it's all fun, but now I want to improve on my skills, and I know this forum will help. I've read all of the recent messages, well most of them and I can see this forum is full of helpful people that are willing to give honest crits, which of course I will take part in too!
I'm rather new to digital art, I've only ever fiddled around with it, but I've been borrowing the tablet from our school lately and it's pretty darn cool! I'm looking into getting a better one though, the one I'm using is a graphire, kinda icky at times, and not enough pressure sensitivity.
I'm having trouble with shading, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on good coloring techniques? I would really appreciate that, I am also really into anime, and am refining my style at the moment.
I am working on my first Photoshop coloring at the moment so I will probably post what I have either later tonite, or tomorrow, I may post the lineart in a little bit if anyone wants to check it out!
