Hey - I practiced a little yesterday... here is a bad quality result. Just for fun.
I know that there are few mistakes but... but I didn'r fix them before. Like your - which means his left eye for instance. Something like that... it's not perfect. Not really.

Thanks for replys.. yeah!
Hmm... I think so, too. The stare inspired me so much that I just had to draw it. Hehe.
Btw, my sister saw your webpages and some of your self-portrait there and she said you're a good-looking dude.. *grin* Just came up to my mind.. hehe.
Thanks anyway.

Not bad, what did you look at to work on this? One thing that is a little disturbing are the eyes. They are too scary looking, or scared looking I should say. Part of the pupil needs to be covered by an eyelid, either top or bottom. SInce he is looking down, I would assume that the lower lid is going to overlap the pupil a bit.
The ear is very unusual. If the opening of the ear were that big, you'd be able to herar things from mies away . The ear is broken into thirds, the upper third is all the stuff above the large opening, the middle third is the opening, and the lower third is the lobe.
Watch the shapoes of your eyes too. THey both look different from one another in terms of their size and shape.
ANd mellow out on the half tones a bit. There are too many of them, and it makes the face look a bit dirty rather than lit in an environment.
Overall, it isn't that bad, there are a lot more quality strong points than errors. My biggest piece of advice is to just keep plugging away every day with these images. I garuntee you they will improve with each one, you may not ssee that, but it is there.
Nice job and keep posting your results... |

I think the sketchy thing is up now. But the image of sketch comes from the crappy quality too. Personally I hate it.
Thanks for reply tho.

Thanks Fred!
Yep. This was just a quite quick sketch I made few days ago. I wanted to redraw some micke's "self-portrait". :I Hmm... I think that some things look a bit 'strange' because I used some carricatyre of micke's portfolio.
Yeah.. I agree those technical points and stuff like that you pointed out.
Thanks about comments...
