Wow, this is really dynamic. It is very reminiscent of Travis Charest. Is that the look you were attempting? I like your figurative style a bit more than his. More action in the pose, for a static pose, if that makes any sense to you. The head area is really well modelled. THe only thing I can see that might need a bit of work would be the core shadows in the shoulder pieces and the jet pack. It is too contrasty to the warms, it sets off the surface vs. blending with the wrm colors in them.
Beyond that, I wish you would do more of these wwhen you can, these are very stylish. It is really nice to see that you aren't tied to and controlled by one medium. You are very flexible with your work, very necessary in today's working world. Great job ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I don't know if I would say that.. maybe J. Scott Campbell. Travis is like Jim Lee in the since that he uses alot of linework for detail. Very technical looking. agent44 has a smooth "toon-ish" style like J. Scott.
I like this picture by the way. Surprised it is a year old. What do you do for work agent?

Chapel-I am talking about the full value pencil rendering under a wash of watercolors. That is how he does all his painted stuff...Not in terms of the style though. It leans more toward the capcom look... |

Fred: Thanks for your thoughts. I really had a hard time with the cast shadows. I painted over them a couple of times then finally left it alone. I really like Travis Charest's style so a lot of my drawings reflect that. I also like a lot of Manga so some of that creeps in there, too.
Chapel: Thanks, I am a conceptual designer for Phantagram Entertainment.

Ahh.. my bad. I was thinking you meant the drawing of the figure and not the technique he used to paint it. I've never seen any of Charest's painted works.
By the way, FFS did you see my last question in my watercolor post? |

Chapel-Let me think that one over and get back this evening. I could ramble on about the subject, but I want to limit the talk to just key points. I gota finish some work, but I will get back quickly... ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I did this a little under a year ago. It's my third try at guache. Consequently, I've turned more to the computer and less to traditional painting. Anyway, what do you guys think? Let me know.

Very nice, your drawing style reminds me of half anime half marvel with a pinch of Capcom. Very cool! You should do more traditional stuff, I'd like to see it! |
