I was asked to do this for a Norwegian roleplaying site few months ago. They have a childrens section there and an adventure game with different player characters. One of them is called Snitch Dragon (Snytedragen, I think) and this is my take on it.
It was quite rushed and I think there are lot's of flaws but I'd still like to hear what you guys think of it (=some heavy criticism). Feel free to rip it apart.
and yeah, I know the guy's purse looks too much like a ...purse.

Cute Dragon I think this pic would look great as an over-the-shoulder-view...i.e. A view over the shoulder of the person being robbed, looking at a somewhat higher angle down at the theiving(sp?) Dragon.

I think the picture has real feeling. Sorry, I can't rip apart a picture over nothing but technical mistakes. The dragon is cool though, but whats with is arthritic tail, . I myself would have made him maybe a different color, but don't ask me which one. Cool Picture. |

This is great, beautiful colors!
Only critique is, I'm not sure if this image is enough to stand on its own..but, it would be perfect with story book text below or above the picture =)

Wow, so many answers already! You're such a great lot.
: ino::: Hey, that's an interesting idea. Thank you.
Gecko: Thanks man.
r3koil: Arthritic! Hehe, maybe it's that I couldn't totally decide whether to go to more realistic or more cartoon style direction..
Nightime: Thank you. You're right, it isn't strong enough to stand on its own. They would've actually been happy just for the little rascal itself but I wanted to add some environment and (static) action. It kind of tells more about the character.
Jezebel: Thank you. I really tried to get some calm naughtiness to it.
sear: Tight, eh. Thanks a lot.
Isric: That gladdens my heart, Thankyou.
Binke: What can I say, thankyou .
MisterOwl: I think you can do wonderful stuff already. That comic page of yours was great. I pondered the style thing a while but in the end decided to go more comic/cartoon style direction. I thought it was incomplete in that sense but maybe it's a good thing after all according to your analysis. Thank you. I might dig up some halfway steps if I still find them in my HD. Though I don't think my proceeding with this one was very rational and best of guidances. We'll see.

This is excellent. Some day, I would like to be able to create art like this.
I'm not sure if the picture could stand alone, but it doesn't seem like it was intended to, so to me, it doesn't fail in that respect...if that makes sense.
The style in which it is done really provokes the viewer to imagine the characters moving and interacting like a cartoon, yet the rending technique holds it together as a single painting. You get the best of both mediums (animation & traditional painting) all in one. I would be interested as to how this work was done.
Great work! Please continue to post. |

Incredible ! i feel like hugging this dragon, but i guess this ragged old pillow will have to do)
[hugs his pillow and bursts into tears]
only crit is that the guy's hand is kinda different in it's "language"- there's no outline, and it doesn't feel right. |

Thanks gyus.
Negative, Bilbo: I see your points.
Capt.FlushGarden: You're right but it supposed to be like that, it's for illustrating the distance. Same thing with dragon's left foot middle toe and so on
Cos: I'm Glad you like. |

Is Rhomb an actual word? Cuz there's a band called Frenzal Rhomb and I have no idea what it means...
Awesome pic, by the way. |

The picture's great, could say lots of good words 'bout it, but you asked for critique, didn't you? I don't like man's left foot and dragon's right hand. Hand looks a liltle bit unnatural, and the foot, well the shape's is kinda strange... and talking about the purse, you could make it look more rough, maybe you could add a patch, i don't know ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/tongue.gif) |

Heh, rhomb is a geometric form, a diamond, lozenge. Haven't heard about the band though.

Yes it is, but rhomb is just a shorter form of that. At least my dictionary says so.

Wow, that's really nice! I love your colour choices.. and I love the contrast of the sharper, detailed figure, and the soft, pastel background. New desktop.
Btw, do you have any other stuff I/we could see? |

Oh, Rhomb!! This is great!! This is great. I think so.
I love the feeling on this one.. why haven't I seen this before.. oh.
I love the colors, mood, shapes and everything. I think that this is much better than your "self-portrait" post.
Keep up your GREAT work, dude!
Ps. How old are you? Just want to know... obsession.

Wow.. that is nice. I squented my eyes when the picture popped up, because it seemed like actual sunlight. Very cool atmosphere you created there. |

Tinush: ..and it's called ROMBI in Finnish. if you're still interested
Chapel: Thank you. You should've seen the version with a lens flare.
Intuous: Thanks. Well, I'll put up some stuff right here. Here is my entrance thread in case you didn't see it.
http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/006074.html
My problem is (like many others I think) that I really don't have enough time to draw/paint/model. I'm currently working full time as a software engineer same time trying to finish my engineering studies and this (draw/paint/model/animate)is what I'd really like to do.
YourMum: Thanks a lot. I'm 25.
Let's see...
This is the sibling of that red one above. I'm not very happy how it turned out. When I did these two, this was the one I spent less time on.
This is something I sketched for a 3d-animation project we are planning with couple of my friends. It's a beast of burden or a mount.
