Tell me what you think of this nature painting Ive done, and what I should improve in it. Lighting, colors etc. I dont want more details in it though.
Thanks, [CSM] |

Don't know why nobody replied on this one because it is really great. You should keep up that style.
If you used a photo reference I would try to do the same, only without reference and out of my imagination.
Good work. |

This looks good. Light and colors are quite nice. I think the edges of those cliffs should be more coarse. Now they look somehow unnatural. The cliffs further and furthest in the horisont would look better if they were more loose and not so clean-cut. That would also help to depict the aerial perspective better. |

Yeah, didnt really see that. Should be more roughness to the cliffs further away, I agree.

looks very cool!
the only thing i would possibly change would be the rocks in the distance.
I would flip them to the other side so it does not look too much like they are all perfectly standing in row.
nice, I like it.
did you use a reference picture?

Very nice. The brush looks weird. But the rocks are great. I just painted some desert BG's. You slayed me. |

Awesome work man!!
Looks great. Although I dont really agree with Rhomb.
If you look at the edges of the mountain against the sky on a clear day you see that the edges are really crisp looking. (in real life).
Any way, thats my two cents worth. Looks awesome though. I would hang that on my wall.

Hi,
I like most of the landscape except for that fact that the little bushes in the foreground seem to be out of focus and blurred. This does not seem very realistic for our eye perceives that which is closest to us....the clearest. I suggest you make the bushes more detailed and crisp. But everything else looks great so far. |

Yeah... this is nice... I like the plants in the front. They're sweet.

that foreground looks so 3D, something odd about it yet i really really like it.
Work it up more if you can. |

Great picture. I love to see different types of work, and this is a fresh change from fantasy figures. I'd say keep up this direction - feel free to be more expressive with color - you cant go wrong with landscape - there is no *right* color. Also, think about contrast of scale as well as contrast in the normal sense of values. The only big beef I have here is that the rock formations are somwhat the same in size and shape. The rocks look a bit repetitive. Now that may be from your ref = if so, *change nature* you're the creator in this world.

First off let me say that I like it a lot...the lighting is very good here..you should really start off by saying what it is your going for in the pic that would help with crtis....the only problem I see is that the forground bushes look a bit flat to me while the rest of the pic has a lot of depth..other then that just spiffy! |

Its concept art for an upcoming game (cant say which though), so it doesnt really need much more detail. I think Ill try to work more on it on my spare time though, and post an update later on.
Thanks for all your comments, [CSM] |
