okay, I've tried everything within my powers and resources, but nothing is working.
For my next picture i want to have a vast view of a Tremendous ship as my background with two characters in the forground.
Thing is, I cannot get the perspective right.
Now please, don't think this is some pathetic idiot who hasn't tried anything yet, I have. I made a little ship out of paper. I have tried over 10 diferent tests to see if i could actually get it. I have tried to get a hold of model ships.
My request is this: Could some kind hearted sould please help me. Someone who either knows 3d programs or can just whip off sweet perspectives. Just some basic line stuff or rough renderings, nothing fancy.
Enclosed a rough of what i'm looking for in terms of size, and where the figures will be.
Thank you very much for your assistance

Hi, Isric!
I could do a quick 3d model but I can't exactly get your point out of this one.
Hmm.. could you make it any clearly?
Err... I have to say that I don't understand much about your meaning on this pic. The people on the background are too big if you compare them to the people on the desk of the boat. Aren't they? Or what's your meaning for them?

Again... I made these really quick from your sketch.
But I can't still understand the whole thing... sorry..
These aren't exactly and 'watertight' examples but these point out some something about the distance between the people. Hope these help a bit.
Perhaps you could give some identified info about your goal so I think I could understand this better. Or maybe I just stupid with this. *grin*

Okay, sorry about all the confusion.
I hope this helps clear it up.
The camera angle will be from the dock looking in the direction of the ship. Infront of the camera will be two awe struck observers. Inthe distance can be seen other observers in the dock.
The ship flys, and has 4 masts, Top, Bottom, Left, and Right. The front of the bow is studded with wondows.
In this diagram it shows the size of the sip compared to the dock and figures (revized)
The camera location is not manditory, but i see it from this angle.
This is a rough image of what the view might look like. From the dock you look up past the figures towards the looming ship.
Does this help at all?

Isric, judging by your second sketch it seems like you already figured most of it out =)

Yeah, dude. I didn't mentioned this before but you see the scales from the graphs as you can already see.
Hmm.. you have a nice idea there. I'm looking forward to see the final strike! Thanks.

Wow, thank you very much.
That will help a lot.
Simon G, thanks for your image input. Sorry I wasn't clear enough from the start. As I said, i was experimenting quite a bit, but I wasn't totally getting it. This input gives me a good starting point.
Thanks all |
