Riiight, I colored this a few hours ago but about at the same time I finished, my internet connection busted (DHCP trouble.) And now it seems I'd be right after spooge, heh

Oh well, life is life, I'll post my coloring when I get my net working.

[edit]

k, turning the DHCP-client on in w2k helped. Stupid me turned it off yesterday. :]

here's the coloring, took far too much time than it should have (~4 hours :P)

Well, as I said earlier, Here's a little color to add to Francis' already stellar drawing....now I gotta do laundry.

Thanks Francis! You ROCK!

P.S. Spooge! Good God Man! Where do you find the time to rule that much anyway?!?!?

I know I've said bad things about the "shiny" look. But......

took waaaaayyyy to long.

Nice drawing Francis, and great colorings everybody. My favorite is Jenn's: "...check out who gets ass of the year!", funny .

Btw Francis, you say that you try to keep the linework clean, do you do some preliminary sketches? if not, you must really know what you want to draw because it's really clean.

Francis: That was a cool drawing btw. =) Yeah, I have a slightly larger version... I worked off the jpeg you posted (didn't get the higher res file you offered) and just painted at that. I'll send it to you later on ICQ if you like.

Spooge: Hehe, much better than I did. =)

cheers,
frost.

Wow... Great sketch, really dynamic pose... you're really developing a powerful unique style, Francis!

Spooge - Do you sleep? Really? You're a machine... The cast shadow of her left calf on the right thigh is a really good indicator. I'd have probably missed that.

Magpie - James...that completely RULES! Great edge lighing, great, bold color pallette...

Frost - really cool concept, nice lighting, nice volume! Does get a little lost though... Maybe some bounce light to make it stand out from the bkgd?

Rinaldo - Love the hard cast shadows... a lot of people miss that and it really develops the three-dimensionality. Nice!

Great work all... I like these exercises, very interesting to see many people's interpretations. Wish i had time to join in and paint some... *sigh*...

Spooge, Magpie, and Rinaldo. All three of those are tight.

I agree, I can't imagine where Spooge finds the time for that.

Rinaldo, don't worry, yours wasn't as shiny as Magpie's.

Yes, but the placement of the lens flare makes all the difference.... you're a master Tinusch, simply a master.

I bow.

Spooge Demon must be excorcized.

Magpie- I told you to use the lens flare tool. What happened to the lens flare? Lens flares are cool.

Here is my contribution, guys...

Seeing it ready makes me think... I may have failed in the style issues: Already excellent line drawing (good work Francis btw) might had deserved more comic book & anime style coloring and not this dominant one... dunno.

However, I felt that the original art's perspective was nice and strong and she appeared to be very much on the move, so I tried to emphasize those things with my background...

Excellent colorings here already... It's nice to see how different styles there are. Good work everyone! Magpie's slick approach and Spooge's moody ones are very different but great... Some of the images do not load tho, so people, keep those images on line! I wanna see them all! :-)

Something about this thread seems to bring out all the newbies on this board.. me being included, saw other people taking a shot so tried it myself.. my first ever colouring EVER! Must be the great line drawing that inspired us all.. thanks Francis.. plus no doubt all the already great examples of colouring that we have in this thread already.

Damn it takes along time doing this with a mouse!

well here is my first attempt!

Cheers!
