What kind of PC do you do your drawings (MAC, IBM, etc.) on Dhabih? (Sorry if you mentioned somewhere in your site....but I can't find it if it is)
Also what crashed your harddisk? (lightning, power, crappy drive j/k) |

I got a PC at home running Win98.
My HD crashed when i was upgrading to a athlon. I took the disk out from my old p2 and moved it to the new case and it didnt work with the new motherboard....and i tried moving it back to the original one and it didnt work still.. lame. |

What happened to the hard drive? Was it a result of static discharge or what?

Yeah, maybe the jumpers are set wrong...
Does it make any sound when it boots up, like a whirling noise when it's winding up? If there's any clicking noises then it's garbage.

I had something simillar happen
upgrade, hdd doesn't work, lots of priceless stuff trapped etc etc.
It turned out to be damaged pin on the IDE port (of the drive)
check that.
and if anyone here knows what to do to fix that kind of thing I'll be forever in their debt. |

broken off
right back to the board
you'd need to surface mount a small ..er..conductor/wire of some kind and then refix the pin in place.
most have said it would be easier to replace the gel board on the drive instead, but firms who do that kind of thing are few and far between |
