Actually Silber, I did check it. No one is listed as working in comics, so I decided to ask. Don't be so quick to judge. ^_~

I just got a graphic novel with DC Comics. A 128 page prestige book. Fully Painted. My writer is Keith Geffin. It is going to be a kick in the butt. I have also done trading cards and a couple pin ups for image when they were Image. The comics industry was somewhere I wanted to go at one time, but the industry turned sour. Now, I just want to do covers and an occasional project like this one now. It is a really great place to start if you want to do story telling of any kind, so long as you are paired up with a great writer. Otherwise, you are in kind of a crap shoot. I know a lot of comic artists, and they all wish they did what I do instead of comics. ANd I have always been thinking to myself, I have always wanted to do what they do...
Why do you ask the question? |

I ask because my school has a senior project. A student can elect to forgo the last month or so of classes (which isn't that much for seniors anyway) and instead do a project in the area they wish to pursue. I want to write and draw a comic, print it up, and turn it in at the end along with the journal we keep. Basically, for every class we stop taking, 6 hours a week is required for the project. (I plan to start this a ahead of time as well, ideas and whatnot.)
But, we are supposed to have some form of correspondence with someone in the field. Mr. Stachura suggested that I see if anyone who already works in the comic industry could review my work as I go during this. (I'd have to have the name and stuff for my proposal). That's why I am asking... I'm wondering if any of you would be willing to do that. |

wow fred. is that what you are doing now. Have you quit your job in presto ? To do a full novel like that must take a huge amount confidence and sweat. Just be sure for yourself that you will be able to fill every page with just as interessting "look" and quality as the last one. Well, I guess that is what you can call experience.
Tell me when it's done, I will buy it for sure.
