I love it - although his torso seems a bit too narrow, but I am not that sure it just struck me. |

Wow!
That is a great improvement, I liked the original one too. Your linework and shapes
looks fantastic.
By the way, Do you know where i can get hold of books with artwork from the Capcom guys?
I got some pics on my HD, but i want the books too.
Keep up the great work, man
Mikael

Wow, I just love the style you've got going on this pic, the shading and all. Very cool stuff. Keep it up.

Dam that kicks ass. Very cool. Great form and shading. Only thing thing that's maybe a little off is the chest/torso. Looks like the lower pectoral region ends a little to high which is causing the torso to look a little streched. Other than that it's right on! Great stuff!

He looks like a drawing that Amano would do for Final Fantasy game or something...

Uhumm... has um, anyone noticed the real reason why his torso looks so long?
Gontaro was right when he said the anatomy was a little off.
Style wise what he did is fine the picture is frick'n rad and I love his rendering.
well, he's got one row too many of abdominal muscles. The character has a ten pack, he should only have eight, and even with eight only the top six really show.
The addition of extra muscles is often simply an issue of an artist's style, however if you're going for anatomical correctness an eight pack is the limit.
In any case, Gontaro what ever you decide to do is peachy with me, you've got a very slick style.

love the new one. but i loved the old one to. i think the thing i like about the old one best was the forlorn/melancholy look on the guys face. the new one definitely is more refined but its a little less intriguing to me since it losses the juxtaposition between the obvious physical prowess of his body, and the sorrow in his face. however both kick ass. I'd love to continue to see more.

Very good! I won't say anything about the torso because others did already mention that. I like that convulsive look of the left hand. Your pencil technique and shading style look great, just nicely loose but still well defined.

Gantaro like the pic alot.
I like the facial expressions and the pose.
Bit of a stupid question but how do you keep your style so loose?
micke try www.otaku.com I've bought some very good Capcom and SNK art books from them.
I'm not too sure if they do overseas delivery but it's worth looking into. |
