Hi yall.
I am working on a web page in one of my classes. I came up with this idea of having a page where my characters are interacting with the page. This is the button for my gallery. I haven't put the word GALLERY in yet but it will go in the cinter of the sign the beast is on.
I leve a lot of my lines in my pic because its something I like to do, style prefrence. Obviosly there is still more I can do for the pic but for right now...well...I gata move on or ill never finish.
Any sugestions and positive feed back is welcom.
Arrrrrr

I can't take all the credit. The image was created by Clockworkbacon, I did the roll overs and popups, and some small art direction here and there. But the cool tree was all bacon..

Hey Blitz, positive feed back is a matter of opinion.
I really like the beast on top, he looks really cool, I think the guy holding the stick could use some work though, he kind of looks like you dug'm out of the local cemetary. Maybe clean him up a little and put a little color in his cheeks.
Very cool web button though.

Yes the boy is looking a little..reserected.
I noticed that also.
I will work on the boy a bit, perhaps some blush on his cheeks... maby a little eye liner.
samdragon: that website is cool. The tree is cool and I like how you made the reptiles turn color when you role over them.
Thanks guys.
Blitz

i guess what I'm trying to say is, you can make this image your intire navigation if you wanted to. You click on the monsters eyes, teeth, claws. and different stuff and each area of your site would appear in the sign. Pretty simple dhtml or might get by using straight roll overs with image ready or something like that.
I like the way your heading with this though, I think it would be interesting to see. Just remember, some of us are still using those old and outdated things called modems. So keep your loading times down by optimizing your image. This image has too much detail and envolvement to just be a button.
Have fun

Hey Blitz. You know, just looking at it, I just saw a kid ramming a stick up a christmas-tree-looking green monster's butt with blood dripping on his blue tunic. After reading your description of course, I realised I was VERY wrong. Hmm, I guess what this says is to perhaps revise the clarity of the drawing and perhaps revise the color scheme. =)
cheers! |

Hey Blitz, I meant no offense by it I assure you. =) Maybe you'd want to bring down the contrast on those individual strands of hair. Like I pointed out in my previous post, the color also lead me to come to that conclusion (it shouldn't be a big job to fix using a 'color' layer). |
