I was wondering, I see 2 styles on here usually. The dhabih type of style where it looks very blended smooth and airbrushed, and then there is a more painterly/impressionistic approach. Now do you guys usually use airbrush or paint tool, also you burn/dodge alot, and ughm do you use normal mode usualy to do different tones, or is it a better idea to use multiply and color thnx. I'd appreciete some help.

Making a picture isn't about the tools used, it's about knowing what color you want a particular pixel and knowing the tools well enough that you can decide best how to get that color there.

I know it's a cliche, but it is an important point to make.

Just about every artist on this forum likely uses a completely different combination of tools to get the end results. Some people might use a bit of Burn to darken and saturate a part of the image whereas others might use the color sliders to choose a specific color and then paint it in. Some might prefer using airbrush most of the time while others could use paintbrush. It doesn't matter because it's all a half-way step in getting the pixels to the right values and colors.
