I haven't drawn much lately so I thought that
I should maybe try paintin something, and heres the result. Didn't use any photoref,
just a quick face sketch done beforehand.
I dont really like the ear or body much, and the nose could be more clearly structured.
I also didn't achieve a very realistic looking shading but oh well. Comment if you'd like

Interesting image you have there. You certainly have managed to capture a look about the character. Comments though, something is wrong with the neck. It is too thin and it doesn't feel like it is connecting correctly with the head (ie the head is turned around too far).

The actual face looks really good so far, the head doesn't really look like it's connected to the body though, I think the lack of consistant lighting is what is causing this disembodied feeling. That pose is kind of awkward and tough to get right without reference though, you've done a great job with it so far, maybe its time to look at some photo's of people in that position to help you make it feel a little bit more natural. The ear also seems to be just a bit too far back on the head, this might be caused by the lack of depth or shadow on her jaw though, work that area a little more and the ear may not seem out of place anymore.
Anyway, do a little more work on this and clean it up a bit, you've got a really good pic going and with a little refining it'll really come to life.
oh, and I just noticed one other thing, in the pic, her chin seems to be sticking out as far as her shoulder is, that really causes things to look out of proportion. You should broaden her shoulders a bit to fix that.
