Hey, gang! g:tech back in action (for a change! I'm a lazy bum! hehe).

Here's my latest pic. I've been trying to go for more interesting pieces with better poses and character interaction. I've yet to tackle backgrounds.. I just can't do em!

Anyway, here's a bit of background (no pun intended) on the pic, originally titled "Never Wake a Sleeping Grungor". Grungors are huge, and live in the forest. This guy was supposed to be sleeping peacefully behind a large bunch of bushes when all of a sudden, Tank (the guy in the pic), comes waltzing along happily, whistling and singing, enjoying the beautiful day. This wakes up the cranky Grungor, who steps between the bushes to see who's gonna get pummelled for disturbing his precious nap. He spies our oblivious hero, reels back... and that's where the pic comes in:

I'm in the process of creating a whole world, full of characters. The main character is the loveable "Ladies Man" (yeah right! At least HE thinks so...), Tank. He works on heavy machinery as a hobby, earning himself the name. For those who are interested, here's a link to the preliminary design for him: http://www.aracnet.com/~vortex/IMAGES/tank-flat01.jpg . He's changed just a bit.

So, now I'm up to 4 characters. This is the Grungor's debut!

Anyway, feedback is greatly appreciated! I hope you guys like this pic. I had fun doing it!

Thanks!

Love your rendering man, looks so clean and nice, I'd consider eating off of it. haha

Grungor's pose is kind of cool but keep working on your dynamic poses.

I've seen the other characters. You have a definite style. Looks good.

Love the background, (no pun intended)

That's real nice g:tech, really like the kid's expression, he really looks careless, very well done! The Grungor in the back however would have needed better balance as his heavy extended arm would require that.

hi, guys! Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate them!

Frost: yeah, I see what you mean about the Grungor's pose. Originally it was just going to be Tank strolling along, but I started to sketch a big monster after I was done with him, and it turned into a Grungor! Alas... without much planning on his part. It shows!

Anyone else have any observations / crits?
