After reading the thread about how the forum is only one year old, I thought about how I first stumbled across the site. I thought it would be kinda cool if others could post there experiences.

Mine - I was looking at a comic site and it had this really cool image on it that didn't look anything like the others. I saw the www.sijun.com down the bottom and thought I'd check it out. One of the coolest things I've done on the 'net [The image, for the record, was the Witchblade piccy]

ive been here for a few months or so.. dont post much just check around everyday.. well i first got here about... a year ago .. forget.. my friend sent me a site.. he got his wallpaper from sijun.com and i went and it was realli cool i checked back occasionally to see the pictures again koz they were so cool and then one day i decided to click the forum pic and i found all u damn good artists

Well, I've been coming here since I was a boy, starting back in 1979....

Seriously, Mozeman had been searching for images of pirate ships. Someone sent him a link to Goodbrush.com. He immediately showed me the site, at which time my brain fell out. There was a link, I think, to 3D Palette, where Craig had some redos and a tutorial. Most importantly, he mentioned the Sijun.com forums. I came in and that was it.

A co-worker turned me on to Sijun, and coming from a heavy Illustration background I must say I am really pleased with the whole culture that this forum has spawned.

No offense to anyone but this forum is way more fun than the "flashkit" or "were here" forums.

I was searching for an good webring to join when I found the one Dhabi's site is on. The description for Dhabi's site read "Photoshop extrodanaire". Well expecting another photo manipulation site I clicked it anyway and I was glad I did. The arwork was awesome and the forum is the kind I have been hoping for.

About a year an half ago maybe more i was looking for some photoshop tuts on doing the interlace stuff and came accross a site called eyeball designs , i was looking around the site and then went to the links section thinking maybe there would be some better sites and sijun.com was one of the links, well i needless to say i was just blown away that you could do things like that in photoshop, well at that time there was no forum just a really big guest book :P and umm then one day there was a forum

found the site via faustgfx or someone (waaaay back in the good ol' times of 3dnet #quake), checked out new stuff every month or so, then when the forum came along, signed up and that's pretty much it.

One guy called beam or soda had shown Jannes work here as his own, and Janne found out. He showed us kids at school the whole ripoff
thread printed. ( Janne thought that it was a general policy to rip off peoples work here for a long time .. )
Anyway, I found this forum because of this ripoff.

I've been seeing Dhabih's pictures on Blues News before he got his job at that "Plumbing" company. I remember the Unreal Skaarj in particular, and that was way before the forum. Wow... is Blue's News the center of the internet or what?

I think I regularly visited sijun after Tinusch and Joachim posted images for Loonygames. One of the artist's articles had a link to sijun.com and some mod-scene sites. Musta been Joachim's article.

somebody posted up on Maxforums, because people were posting there 2d on the 3d forum.
Then that forum cept going down, so I foound myself coming here daily.

I saw one of this images somewhere - it must have been a couple of years ago. I was really impressed that a kid could be doing the art for big gaming magazine covers (and that the art was as great as it was!)

Anyway, that's what brought me to his site, which led me to basically archiving all the images therein . . . I checked for updates everyone month or so but I never did register for this forum until recently.

Oh, and the first day I came here, I sent Dhabih an email . . . ( web site informed me of the volume of email he gets, etc etc, and that response could be delayed). . .

. . . it's been about two years and counting. . . where's my response dhabih?

I was surfin' the WWW one day and came across a link to sijun.com. And holy CRAP I was impressed with Dhabih's artwork. From there, I found the forum, and from there I found spooge and Fred and Veb and all these awesome artists.

a friend printed his metalgear solid pic out...i saw it in art and thought it was bludy amazing, so i went to the site and registered in oct 99...then the server skrewed up so it sent my registered date flying ahead of time. Just like to thank dhab for getting me into Digital Art...i had only skrewed around with photoshop before him and had no idea of its capabilities..thanx dhab

Was into 3D pretty heavily for a while using Maxforums a lot for questions and critiques...but like Loud and Wyatt, I stumbled across a reccomendation from Newt to come on over to Sijun.com
