Thats' super keen skeezer...i like the figure...no uneccisary blurriness at all, the clouds and fog work, but it would be cooler to add a more interesting background...unless that's what you really wanted...
oh wait....one thing....the shoulder pads look a bit blurry around the edges...and it would look cooler if they were more defined..

hmm I would make it so that the laser guidance/targeting was coming towards you, right now it looks like its going down at the floor. forstarts, just draw a big red dot right below the gun to see how to make it come towards you, make it semi-transparent too

About the laser aiming device, someone else told me it was pointing at the floor but I don't know how to change that. The only way I can think of is if the laser is pointing at the viewer's face. Can somone draw it more accurately?
Feel free to edit the picture.
I'm stumped.
Thanks,

Can anyone explain to me how to post the picture directly into the forum.
Please explain, oh and pretend that you're explaining it to your grandma haha so that I might get it.
The computer is my worst enemy and my best friend.

There are direction for using UBB code where it says "UBB CODE IS ON" in the reply screen.
As for the laser being at the viewer's face, you could make it so theres a big red glare.
The problem with that is, it'd take away from the figure and you'd be looking at the glare rather than the soldier. |

Damn nice.
Damn nice.
One thing. Do you think it would help if he had a little bit more contrast in the light and dark. Say if the whole right side of him were more in shadow so that it would look as if he is just steping out of a darker aria into some light.
To post a pic onto the forum page folow these simple directions. Just like writing the url onto the page like so (www.blabla.com) you suround it with (
tada.

Wow skeezer this one is great. The increased contrast helps a lot. Did you think about adding something in the background (a tree or a wall) to add a little depth?
The lights look like you just sprayed white color in different levels (it's hard to explain what I mean in english sorry). Try to do the light in the same color as the cloth or armor (if you did I'm sorry). I also would darken the shadows. |

You should show a much stronger light source. Everything right now is a lit to equally. However, if you wanted to have a more dramatic lighting scheme, perhaps you should let some of the character be obscured with shadow, etc.
And it might be there, but it's hard to see. The American flag has thirteen stripes, beginning and ending with a red stripe, just being very nitpicky!!! But art directors can be much worse.

little secret they don't tell at school: lasers aren't infinitely thin, they have a width, it is just very constant throughout, if you want the laser to seem like it's coming towards us... make it fade out (just the beam) and get wider on the way to the bottom accoarding to perspective, allso the closer it is to pointing directly at the camera the larger the sparkle from the emmiter is going to be (it'll blind ya if you'r looking straight at it)
that's my 8 Agorot, which I believe are currently 2 cents although knowing the volatile foreign currency market that might change |
