A friend showed me this forum a week ago and I've been really impressed with the talent that meets here.
Anyway this picture was done on Photoshop using a tablet. I painted this from a scanned sketch of my own.

If anyone has any comments or critique I would love to here some. Thanks |

(Angelfire alert)
Can't check out your pic cuz it's on Angelfire, you need to make a page with the picture on it. |

Hey! Very nice indeed!
I can think of a couple of things that could be altered on the pic:
His left shoulder is out of perspective, actually it looks like his whole left arm protrudes too much from the body, it should be more behind it.
All over the body the shadows are deep and there's good contrast going on, but the head lacks dark shadows, and the base of each ear is not symmetrical. Something funny going on in there. Hair seems to be a bit out of perspective as well, aligned more to his left side.
And by entering the real nit-picking mode I can say that the part of the body seen under the sleeves looks somewhat flat and those really dark shadows don't really seem to belong there.
ps. background could be just something abstract, personally i dislike the sphere...
Welcome to the forum!

Sorry, I haven't had time to look at the replies.
Angelfire isn't a good place to post work?
Is GeoCities better?
I appreciate the critique Gecko. I see what you mean with the left arm. Also I noticed the difference in the head as far as shadows are concerned earlier, but I couldn't quite get it right.
Thanks

Here ya go skeezer, it was a nice pic and I didnt want it to get unnoticed.
very very nice .. I like all the detail..
specially on the face , the hair could use some more refining though .. the metal surfaces or whatever material could use some highlights .. maybe reflection .the clothing is a bit blurry although is nice too .. over all it works for me .. these things I mention above are just smalle details that could be added ... oh and a background even just the hint of one . could work .. very cool
keep up the good work

Thanks osk, I greatly appreciate it.
I think I need to get rid of the Babylon 5 haircut though to familiar.
I understand what you mean about the background. Mostly I'm working on character designbut I guess if I want to present it effectively I should include a more complimentary background.
Thanks for the critique.
