Hahaha - that face is what I showed when I read that you were actually putting in the time and effort to purchase worthless crap like the PS2.

Yeah? You think the PS2 is a piece of crap? I dunno, looks pretty amazing to me. Graphics are wonderful, and some games like Dead or Alive look down right artistic. |

Why not just get a Dreamcast? It's half the price of PS2, and there are way more cool games for it (including DOA 2). The only thing PS2 has going for it is the DVD player... |

I wasn't very interested in the PS2 either... until I saw SSX. That game alone makes me want to shell out the dough for the system.
If you are into snowboarding, or racing, or an excellent game you gotta check it out. |

Dreamcast doesnt have all the Developers Sony does. Ive got DC and it just doesnt have any really GOOD games yet. Besides Sony has Square Soft, and Square = best.
There wont be a PS2 availible here untill after christmas because so many people bought it. DAMN |

The biggest problem with the PS2 is that the code is very had to use. The dreamcast is run off of Windows CE so programers that are used to using Windows with have a easy time making games. Also PC games will have very smooth transitions over to the Dreamcast. So in result there will be less bugs and smoother game play. |

Personally, I am going to wait for the X-Box.
I beleive it is supposed to be cheaper than the PS2 with better hardware and more features.
Plus games will be easy to make and transition to the console from PC. It's a Microsft product so I cant imagine them programming some all new OS just for the X-Box. |

Personally I prefer the DC to the PS2, at least right now. How anyone can say there are no good games on the DC is beyond me, personal preferences aside games like Soul Calibur, NFL2K1, and even the port of Q3:A are incredible not to mention a lot of others have redefined there genres. The only weak spot for the DC is RPG's, but Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, and Phantasy Star Online will fill in those gaps. The PS2 will eventually get something that will be deemed as must have like MGS2, ZOE, and FFX and XI (not another rehashed sequel ala TTT, RRV, Madden ect...), but those games are late next year or possibly 2002. By then we will have the X-Box (excellent hardware in specs anyway and damn near as many developers as Sony and a version of MGS2) and also GameCube (demos looked promising, but they are only demos so no one knows yet but they do have Miyamoto-san The Dreamcast has some of the best games coming in Nov., mainly Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and Jet Set Radio (all incredible games and they look amazing to boot plus they either raise the bar in there genre or they create a new one) Just my opinion. I can't wait to see what games will be like in the coming years. It's a good time to be a gamer (and a game artist, hehe)

I did not mean any disrespect to your drawing skills in any way Superbug.
I was actually directing my thoughts about the PS2. or as I call it PS poo!
Let's face it folks!
Sony is a parasite on the gaming industry!!!
They DON'T create!!! They open their big fat wallets and BUY licences!
People (i don't mean you superbug) that think Sony is the best, are just as ignorant
as they are unable to see true astistic beauty!
Yu Suzuki, Shigeru Miamoto, Yugi Naka. These are creators of TRUE artistic vision!!!
Take my advice Superbug forget that PS Spew!!
Buy a Dreamcast if you like games, and buy a Game Cube when taht comes out!!!
PS2? Don't believe the HYPE!!! |

Whew.. took a minute to post, my thumbs hurt because ive been playing SSX and Tekken Tag Tournament on my BRAND NEW PS2 all day.. suckers (course I don't have a goddamn memory card so a crapload of good winning races in Ridge Racer V does me.. )
Aaanyway, gloating aside, cool sketch. Reminds me a bit of Dirge's stuff ( http://www.spookyland.com/ ) which is fantastic, and he's also working with my company (nickelodeon) on an animted TV series based on his Invader Zim characters (I've seen the pilot, its really quite good). Why dont you try some full character treatments with this kinda quick loose style, maybe some small bodies.. it can have a pretty cool and freakish feel if done right. Tim Burton does some similar-ish freaky stuff with his little doodles from The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy (and other stories) (amazon link if you're interested, GREAT book)
