I want to do some sketching directly into photoshop, and was wondering if anyone could help me with some decent settings for immitating a real world pencil. Both the look and feel of it.
I usually sketch on paper and scan, but I want to be able to do some sketching directly into photoshop, and have never really tried this.
What brush-settings should I use, and opacity and stuff....
I have a Wacom Graphire.

I use the Paintbrush with about 50% opacity, using a 1 or 2 sized brush with pure black. Gives off a similar feel, though the real thing is far more enjoyable. @:-)

Sa'ag is right. Just to reinforce what he said. Painter is made to give you the look/feel of real media. In my opinion it is great for giving a painting a fairytale feel.

If you don't have Painter, Photoshop will do a pretty good job using a small brush at 100%hardness and opacity, with the opacity setting checked in the brush options. Do that with a pressure sensitive tablet and it looks pretty decent.
Here's a pic I did using that method...

ok im sure this is common knowledge but this is what i do. simple and effective.
Tape a piece of paper over the drawing surface of your tablet, and sketch on that. It provides a little resistance and makes it feel more like paper. Otherwise its like your drawing on glass.
