I think it would be really useful if some of us would post a few linedrawings for others to overpaint. That way we can learn about the way shadows falls,light reflectsand so on.
this repaint micke didof someones sketch, helped me a lot, for example:
I drew this face a couple of days ago using a mirror in order to study the way facemuscles move ( something I found very interesting)

The face you did looks cool. Like the way you described the nose, mouth.
I don't think linedrawings is necessary, just more job. It works out fine just painting on a layer over the original.

I know what you mean, it�s just that by overpainting linedrawings you�re given no values to work on, so you have to think about them yourself. I also thought the linedrawing was a good idea because you usually don�t have to invest so much time in doing them...
