I find this image great in all ways. Maybe you could remove the circle in the lower left corner (lensflare?). The colouring is good and the water and the people look realistic.

I kept the original photo in its own layer and turned it on and off once in a while to check it I was doing it right. Maybe it looks too much like the original, but I did this only to learn to paint ...

This looks very good. It seems like there's a light source just below the worm too, despite of that the light on the worm seems a little odd.
