Is there a name for that 1950's print ad style used in a couple of the paintings on Fred Flick Stone's website (I can't find my link to his site, otherwise I'd point out which ones I mean)?

If you are using photoshop, create a new layer about the black and white linework and set the mode to multiply. Then use that layer for coloring.

Wow, those flowers look amazing. Based on the size of the lower portion of the body, I think the back and the arm of the figure are a little too long, and you might want to take some of the roundness ...

Your second picture is very interesting; the knight looks a bit like it's in the style of medieval drawings... it might be interesting to render that one in the style of a stained glass window.

Wow, you really did a nice job coloring some great linework. I especially like the way you did the metal.

The only think that looks a little odd is the hair; perhaps it's a little too colorful?

The grey background seems kind of flat compared with blue text area. I'm not sure what to suggest, but you might want to try something else in the background.

Maybe I'm just too practical, but I think a nice flowing trenchcoat (possibly translucent) would make this even more awesome that it already is.

By the way, what techniques/modeller did you use?
