grima looks way better now... the last one looked kind of mucky and muddy in the skin tones... I like the lighting suggestion too.

this is really fun. here's a 5 minute or so effort. I have to do more of these; it gets rid of the intimidation of the blank canvas and gets the pen moving..

not very nice guys. as for the picture, really nice for no reference. your fiance's arms look a little too slender to me, so I would work on those. nice though! finish it up!

very nice rendering! I think some tweaking on the jaw and lower head is appropriate though. I would add some cool colors down there, otherwise it kind of makes the subject manner a little too monochro ...

there's an option in wb to make it not work on certain programs. it comes default with winamp set up like that. search for that option and add photoshop to it. it should solve your problem.
