I have a Hitachi CM721F and I love it. I don't know how much it was because it was sort of a gift. The color and sharpness are great.

Sumaleth made a very good point. I still feel pretty salty about "art-school" though. Go to a really high-profile school if that's an option. Otherwise, I still think it's a waste of time.

Colors are nice. And I love alien landscapes and monsters! Your technique look very refined. The female character looks stiff and glassy-eyed though and the perspective looks odd to me.

I do think the final version is an improvement. That's a neat technique if you're careful to make sure the Photoshop bits match up properly with the visible painted parts.
