They're both pretty stylistic so I'd definitely go with the one you prefer to make! Painting should be fun! Yay!

Between Stage 10 and the final pic, you took out the grass detail in the foreground (to the right of the log).

Why? Without it, the ground looks pretty blurry and unfinished. Otherwise, awesome pict ...

Also, Sauron looks like he's in the foreground cuz there's not enough contrast.. you need the foreground to be a good bit brighter (or highlighted from the sky's light).
