Painter comes with a pretty rugged manual. You should read that; as good as someone teaching it to you.
Main thing is probably just getting used to it.

Hey, you really know how to capture the facial features of the characters! Great job!

While this might be your style, I suggest more contrast! ie.using darker colors
... in theory at least.

Nice work!
I enjoy those photographs of sharp close up of an object.. say tip of the pencil and show the textures of it while the rest of the object or the surrounding are blurred.

Visionary, frankly I am into EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that has to do with art. I like sculpting, sketching, 3D modeling, painting, graphics, logos and web console designs. Heh heh.
