Agree with Glitterbug, I'd aslo likke to add that mabe a temperature shift is in order. I think you could isolate your warmest warms to the hand to really push the hand forward.

I think the way to push the material diferences is to first get a an idea of the value ratios (light vs. Dark) and then you can play around with texture to reach a satisfactory statement.
