I prefer the pencil drawing, too, Sempere.
The head looks more consistent in terms of shading than the rest of the body, where things are a bit messy. And about the colored pic...just too saturated. ... |

I think you should really try to keep trayectories(?) correct. Use negative spaces to help you out with proportion.
