light and shadow are important but they dont define art.
and as for the "truth" about how a certain color makes you "feel".... shut up and put your paintbrush where your mouth is. |

technically its RBY(red, blue, yellow)[color] and CMY(cyan, magenta, yellow)[light]

there isnt really an answer. different programs are good for different things. I like photoshop for the begining and end of a piece and painter for the grunt work in the middle.
