I'd suggest using paintbrush instead of dodge/burn. Also, you might want to think more about the lightning as the light appears to be coming from several different directions.

Chris: I don't think it would go that easily. It would take infinite amount of energy for the ship to accelerate from 90% of the speed of light to full c.
